Mari: I was born and raised in central New Jersey. I received my Bachelor of Art in English Literature from St. Lawrence University, which is located in upstate New York. I have not spent my life in the class room. After graduating from college I worked for 10 years for 2 major financial firms, Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments. Although not related to my career, my degree in English proved to be a valuable asset. The analytical, writing and communication skills I learned helped me succeed in the corporate world. However, teaching has always been my passion. Last year I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Westminster University. I look forward to sharing my first year of teaching with you! Until recently, I spent my life living on the east coast. With my husband and two children (Sebastian and Isabel), we moved here to the Salt Lake Valley. We are having great time familiarizing ourselves with this great state and are adjusting to things out west. Life here suits us well as we enjoy hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and many other outdoor activities.
